Are the Orange Coast specialty websites different locations?

No. Orange Coast’s Sprinter, work-van and fleet services are all at 10810 Talbert Avenue in Fountain Valley.

Which RVs are the focus?

Trailers, camper vans and smaller RVs. Large Class A motorhomes are outside this service scope. Dimensions and the requested exterior body or paint work are needed before an arrival is arranged.

How do I get an estimate?

Call the shop to arrange an inspection, or use the short form to leave a repair inquiry. The form saves your inquiry; it does not book an appointment. Call for current availability.

What warranty applies to a repair?

Ask for the written warranty terms that apply to your repair. Coverage for parts, paint and bodywork can differ, so keep the terms with your final invoice.

Why can the estimate change after the bumper or trim comes off?

A first estimate may cover only damage that can be seen without taking the vehicle apart. Removing a cover or trim can expose more broken parts. When that changes the repair, the additional work and price need your authorization before it proceeds.

How long will the collision repair take?

The repair method and parts availability set much of the schedule. Replacement panels, approval of additional damage or outside specialist work can add time. The shop can discuss timing for your vehicle once those details are known.

Does a dented panel have to be replaced?

Not necessarily. Repair can be suitable when the panel's material, shape and damage allow it. Torn metal, damage in a restricted repair area or problems at an attachment point can change that decision. The vehicle maker's repair instructions also apply.

Is a dented door just a cosmetic repair?

Not always. A dent in the middle of the outer panel may be cosmetic, but damage near an edge, hinge or latch can affect how the door closes. That is why a door repair can include more than reshaping and painting the visible dent.

Does structural damage automatically mean a total loss?

No single label settles the outcome. Repair feasibility depends on the vehicle and findings; an insurer's total-loss decision also depends on the claim and repair economics.

Can all structural damage be straightened?

No. Some materials and parts have restrictions on straightening, and some require replacement. The applicable manufacturer procedure determines the available repair method.

Why does a small scrape sometimes need a larger paint repair?

Damaged paint needs preparation beyond the visible scratch, and the new color needs enough room to transition into the existing finish. The size of the mark alone does not determine where the paintwork ends.

When can new paint be washed or waxed?

Fresh paint needs care instructions for the coating used on the repair. Washing, polishing, waxing and applying a wrap are different operations and may have different waiting periods. Follow the repair's specific care instructions before using products on the new finish.

When is paintless dent repair an option?

It depends on the shape and location of the dent, access to the panel and the condition of the finish. An intact-looking surface alone does not establish that the method is suitable.

Will a dent repair always avoid repainting?

No. Some dents need conventional body repair and refinishing. The proposed method should account for both the panel damage and the existing paint.

Can a cracked bumper cover be repaired?

In some cases. The material, damage location, attachments and applicable repair guidance determine whether repair is appropriate or replacement is needed.

Does every bumper repair require calibration?

No universal rule applies. Requirements depend on the vehicle's equipment and the operation performed, using the manufacturer's repair information.

What is the difference between a scan and calibration?

A scan reads diagnostic information. Calibration is a separate procedure that establishes the required alignment or reference for a system. One does not automatically replace the other.

Can checks still be required without a warning light?

Yes. Some systems do not display a warning for every problem. Required checks follow the vehicle maker's procedures and the repair, not dashboard lights alone.

Which vehicle details are needed before bringing in an RV or trailer?

The manufacturer, model and overall dimensions establish what is arriving. An intake arrangement is needed before the vehicle is driven or towed to the shop.

How can a camper conversion affect body repair?

Cabinetry, wiring or other installed equipment may restrict access behind the damage. Conversion records and the builder's details help identify where additional access or specialist work may be needed.

Can several fleet vehicles be included in one repair request?

Yes. A single inquiry can introduce several vehicles, with a separate repair estimate for each one. A vehicle description or unit number helps keep the work and any later changes tied to the right van or truck.

Can repairs be staggered across a fleet?

Staggered bookings depend on the repairs, parts and available shop time. A business can request an order for its vehicles, but the schedule needs to be agreed with the shop before arranging drivers or replacement vehicles.

Can a restoration price be established from photographs?

Photos help show the starting condition, but they do not reveal everything beneath paint, trim or previous repairs. A meaningful estimate needs defined work and an assessment of the vehicle.

What should the project scope describe?

The areas being repaired, intended finish, parts and trim involved, and details being retained. Mechanical or interior work belongs in a separate scope unless expressly included.

Can an existing custom color be reproduced?

An original formula or repair record provides useful starting information. The finish still needs evaluation, and a physical sample may be needed to establish an acceptable match.

Does a color change include door jambs and hidden edges?

Only when those areas are part of the agreed work. Their preparation and any additional disassembly should be identified separately from the outer panels.

Can every scratch be polished out?

No. Polishing cannot replace missing paint. The depth of the mark and condition of the remaining finish determine whether polishing, touch-up or refinishing is appropriate.

Can I choose my repair shop in California?

Yes. California's Auto Body Repair Consumer Bill of Rights gives you the choice of shop for body damage covered by your insurer. The claim's coverage and payment terms still apply.

What if the insurer's estimate differs from the repair estimate?

The difference may involve parts, labor or newly identified damage. Those items need to be reconciled with the insurer's coverage decision and the work you authorize.

Can an estimate or inspection involve a charge?

Yes. Inspection or disassembly may carry a charge, including when repairs do not proceed. Current charges and authorization need to be established with the shop before that work begins.

Why can two estimates differ?

They may include different parts, labor, paint areas or inspection findings. Comparing those details is more informative than comparing the totals alone.
